Borobudur Temple ready to meets its target of 3.8 million tourists

Throughout the entire year of 2016, Borobudur Temple that is located in Mageland regency in Central Java has been capable of welcoming as many as 3.2 million tourists. The figure makes Borobudur Temple Tourist Park (TWCB) management certain that is well on its way to achieving its target of attracting 3.8 million visitors.

Chrisna Murti Adiningram, the head of the organization said that the aggregate number of tourists to this region had reached 83.2% of the target this year.

On Wednesday, he said that they would soon to going to meet the target successfully, since now is the time for Christmas and New Year’s holidays.

Chrisna said that the year-end holidays would give a boost to the number of tourists who would be visiting the temple. Generally, in the long weekends, the number of tourists visiting this site has a potential to reach up to 100%.

During the period from 10 to 12th December, over 90,000 tourists had visited Borobudur Temple. And, Chrisna went on to add that it is quite above their expectations.

However, the visitors were mostly domestic tourists. This is because foreign tourists prefer visiting this place during June or July.

For the upcoming holidays, Borobudur Temple would offer the same entrance fees for Indonesians that is Rp 30,000 for each adult and Rp 12,000 for children.
